My husband, James, and I first met Laurie Sheinkopf as a fellow resident at a new landmark downtown condominium development. We became fast friends. Like my husband, Laurie is a workaholic and so enthusiastic it is hard not to be impressed with her.

While we loved our condo, we needed more space. So we began a search for a realtor to sell our unit at the same time the real estate market was slowing down dramatically. I took on the search for an agent who could meet the challenges of the time and understood the downtown market. I chose three agents to interview who were all the most highly recommended. Laurie happened to be one of these people. I interviewed all three agents considering the process as a business decision. I did not use friendship as a reason to choose anyone. I wanted the best person for the job.

Laurie’s presentation was by far the best one out of the three. From the moment she entered our condo for the interview, it was clear that she was the person for the job. Within ten minutes she had given me the best advise for staging our place, and I am a professional designer. Laurie helped me see things that I would have never had thought about in organizing the space. But her expertise did not stop with staging.

As my husband says, “Laurie is an exceptional real estate agent. She went beyond our expectations.” For example she uses every tool available to its’ fullest. Laurie knows the importance of the Internet and had our place listed on real estate web sites that are visited most often. She hired the best photographer/videographer so that our condo would be seen in the impressive way. In addition, she had our condo advertised and shown constantly in as many media sources possible. She made sure to show our unit during times when she knew that there would be a lot of people in our building.

In addition, Laurie is extremely well educated in the real estate business and the housing markets where she has listings. I find her on the Internet looking for ideas at all times of day and night. She takes courses and seminars to improve her expertise so that she can stay at the cutting edge of her profession. Laurie is constantly looking for the newest and most effective tools to stay ahead of the competition.

This impressive agent has assembled a team of the very best people in their fields. Some examples of this are the photographer I mentioned earlier, to the closing attorney who spoke in “even I can understand this” language and has the highest ethical standards, to choosing and training an assistant that anyone would be impressed with for his thoroughness and professionalism.

Laurie truly cares about her clients. I know that she has helped clients move, find repairpeople and does other countless duties that go far and above what is expected of any real estate agent. Laurie is a tireless worker who never gives up until the job is done.
